I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to some fine people. Many of the cousins and friends listed below have freely exchanged valuable family lineages and histories. I cannot thank them enough for the tips, information, correspondence and friendship. They are listed with their e-mail address, and any notes appropriate to the individual. Some of these folks are researching lineages that branch out from my direct research, so you may find a valuable resource.

I'm not sure about the DILLARD line. There seems to be some conflicting information about it - and I'm wanting to know more info on it. I think that Sarah Dillard's parents were James Dillard and Lucy Wise. looking for more information

Margaret Taylor (Wiggins) Born ABT 1836 in or near Clinton Laurens county, South Carolina Died 25 July 1916, in Bellgreen, Alabama. She does not have a death certificate, but a certificate of county listed in Montgomery, Alabama. Her husband William Lance Wiggins, Born ABT 1836 Laurens County, must have died in Laurens county ABT 1856. Margaret Taylor came to Franklin county near Bellgreen Alabama About 1860, with her daughter Nancy Wiggins, and her daughters husband, James Dillard Sloan. Margaret Taylor's daughter Nancy Wiggins (Sloan), Born 11 Aug 1856 in Clinton South Carolina, Died 18 Aug 1928 at 606 Dovey Ave, Sheffield, Alabama, and buried at Mt. Home in Bellgreen, Alabama. I have a group picture of Nancy, Margaret, and one of the Daughters of Nancy. Nancy Wiggins married James Dillard Sloan, born 16 Oct 1855 in Laurens County, South Carolina. Died 16 Dec 1907, Bellgreen, Alabama. John Dillard Sloan father was Born ABT 1835 and died ABT 1915 in Laurens County South Carolina. Nancy and John Dillard Sloan had 12 children who resided and died in Franklin County, Alabama. I have an inaccurate list of these 12 people and I am trying to correct with a daughter of Meadow Sloan (King) in Bellgreen, a Mrs. Viola Harper and Cecil Harper. David Victor Sloan, B. 16 Oct 1855 in Laurens County South Carolina, D. 09 Apr 1968 at 105 Grant Street, Russellville, Alabama was my grandfather. He often told me about the hardships his father (John) and mother(Nancy)enjoyed while homesteading in North, Alabama. D. V. Sloan worked on the Southern Railroad in Alabama. He told me originally his people had came to South Carolina and were Scots/Irish, and had fought in a Revolution Battle called Cow Pens. All of the above dates are antiquated by death certificate from Alabama. And verified/checked on Head stones in the Mt Home Cemetery in Bellgreen, Alabama. The ABT dates in Laurens County are estimates. I have pictures I am willing to share with descendents. All this above information is shared freely and to those who want it, I do not place any restrictions on its use. Knowing there are those like me who seek their ancestry.
